The $500 "Small Act, Big Impact" Challenge
"Trying to balance school while working and raising a family isn’t easy and it often means sacrifice along the way (both time and money). Applying for scholarships has always been a way for me to try to supplement my college expenses so that I could use my income to cover my bills and support my children. Recently, I found this scholarship application after beginning my Master’s program at Niagara University. I was excited to find out that I qualified to apply for the scholarship, and wasted no time in doing so. I am so pleased to have found out that I won! This scholarship award will help to cover transportation costs associated with traveling to and from my classes. Since I live over an hour away from campus, this will help tremendously. Not being able to attend my in-person classes would jeopardize my ability to finish my program. Every award brings me closer to finishing my degree and continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of children."
