Bridging the Generations
The Bridging the Generations scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of the late Presiding Elder Charlie Lee Hampton. Presiding Elder Hampton was currently serving the Sumter District at the time of his death. His intentions were to restore the presence of the youth in the denomination via Sumter District. He realized the need to foster and teach the youth to lead the churches tomorrow. The scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to two high school seniors. The applicant must be an active member of one of the Sumter District Reformed Methodist Union Episcopal Churches (Antioch, Greater Saint Phillip, Mount Pleasant, and Mount Sinai).
