Does Wendy’s Award a Scholarship? 

Yes! The fast food chain awards the Heisman High School Scholarship. The scholarship helps bright high school seniors pursue their college dreams. 

What Are the Wendy’s Scholarship Qualifications? 

To be eligible for the Wendy’s Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: 

• Be a senior in high school
• Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Participate in at least one of 48 Wendy’s High School Heisman recognized sports. 
• Show leadership at your school and in your community.

Scholarship recipients may attend any accredited college or university in the United States. They must enroll full-time for the whole academic year. 

Recipients may use the scholarship funds towards tuition, books, and fees. The scholarship is not renewable.

How Much Is the Wendy’s Scholarship? 

The Wendy’s Scholarship has three different scholarship levels. There are 88 state winners who win $500. Twelve national finalists win $1,000. One male and one female national finalist wins $5,000 and receives national recognition during the televised ESPN Heisman trophy ceremony.

How to Apply for the Wendy’s Scholarship?

The first thing you must do when applying for the Wendy’s Scholarship is to choose a reviewer. A reviewer is a school official that reviews your application to confirm that it’s accurate. The reviewer must be an adult who is employed by your school and somebody who has access to your student records to confirm the information you provide in your application.

You can ask a school counselor, an administrator, or a teacher. The reviewer cannot be a student or somebody related to you. 

On the application, you need to provide your reviewer’s name and email address. Make sure to check with them that they can do your review before providing their information.

Your next step is to start the application. To access the application, click ‘apply now.’ You will first have to complete an eligibility quiz. If you pass the requirements, you’ll be able to proceed with the application. 

You can save the application and come back to work on it. You don’t need to finish it all in one go. Answer questions in the application accurately. You can get disqualified for giving false information. 

Before submitting your application, check that you entered your reviewer’s email correctly. They will receive an email within 24 hours. They have until the deadline to submit their review.  

When Is the Wendy’s Scholarship Deadline? 

The Wendy’s Scholarship opens at the beginning of October and closes at the end of October. Students who qualify receive notice in November.

Make sure you apply to the scholarship early on! You don’t want to make the mistake of waiting for the last minute and end up facing technical issues. You also don’t want to procrastinate for the sake of your reviewer. Make sure you give them enough time to complete the review without pressure.
