At ScholarshipOwl, we believe in the potential of students, and future experts in their chosen fields. Scholarship providers by default share this belief in the upcoming generation – and the education they are pursuing. That is why we are always happy to present people and companies that not only give out scholarships but through their own work promote younger generations and the change they are bringing. Future/Sound embodies all of these qualities. And if such collaboration comes with some great music, all the better.

We Jammin’

Future/Sound is a weekly radio show featuring upcoming trap/futurebass/EDM artists from all over the world. The show (and accompanying podcast) aims to introduce new developments in music, and the artists changing the music landscape. The show is hosted by iTunes-charting DJ and music producer CUSCINO who discusses and presents new movements in sound, and what they mean for future artists today. He’s featured new music from the likes of Carnage, RL Grime, NGHTMRE, UZ, Slander, Noise Cans, Yellow Claw, and many more — probably before you knew it was even released. The continuous mix format of the show is inspiring, open, and designed to take you on an amazingly fresh sonic journey each and every week. So if you’re a fan of EDM, futurebass, or trap music, you know what to do. And even if you’re not, you might wanna check out the show, enjoy ultimate sonic goodness, and maybe even try studying with your headphones on (this stuff will keep you pleasantly focused). The show, over three years in production, is now heard in over 100 countries and reaches an FM radio listener base of over 1.6 million people in the U.S. You can get it free on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, HUDL Music (a free music promotion platform CUSCINO has been featured on), Stitcher, and several radio stations’ live streams as well. For all, you music aficionados, check the full tracklist for each and every episode here.

Spreading Good Vibes

Although officially a trap and futurebass music show, CUSCINO himself believes that the line between genres is blurry, and explores this in the podcast. The show is a never-ending mix of progressive trap, FutureTrap, and FutureBass. He particularly points out the similarities between the origins of hip-hop and trap music, and how they relate to the EDM many of us know and love today.
CUSCINO is crushing it in more ways than one – this guy also operates a startup marketing agency and works in brand development. As a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, CUSCINO assigns lots of his success to the education he received and is vocal about the importance, and beauty, of studying. That is why Future/Sound is offering a $250 scholarship to one lucky future expert to help their studies. The team considers this one of the best ways to support young people in furthering their education and doing something they are passionate about. True to their philosophy, the scholarship is offered to all US students, regardless of their major, and whether they want to be entrepreneurs or help in building a strong company. No genre separation, remember?
All you need to do is head to this page, scroll down, fill out the details, and – voilà! – you’re in. Hurry up, though, because the deadline is fast, fast approaching – Future/Sound is accepting applications only until March 8, 2021.
