CollegeCounts Scholarship Program

The CollegeCounts Scholarship awards Alabama high school students who have a financial need. Applicants must be a high school senior or first-time college freshmen in the fall. They must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and a minimum ACT score of 26. The award amount is $2,000 for two-year colleges and $4,000 for four-year colleges.

The David Womack Memorial Alabama LGBT Scholarship

The David Womack Memorial Scholarship awards Alabama residents who identify as LGBT. The award amount is $1,000.

Alabama Scholarship for Dependents of Blind Parents

The Alabama Scholarship for Dependents of Blind Parents awards students from Alabama. They must be from families in which the head of the family is blind. They must show financial need. Applicants must be within two years of graduating high school. The award amount is $500.

Alabama G.I. Dependents Educational Benefit Program

The Alabama G.I. Dependents Education Benefits Program awards residents of Alabama. Applicants must be children and spouses of disabled veterans. Scholarship winners may use the award at any state college or university in Alabama. The award amount is $3,000.

Alabama National Guard Educational Assistance Program

The Alabama National Guard awards scholarships to members of the Alabama National Guard. Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary school in Alabama. They must be at least 17-years-old. The award amount is $1,000.

B2L Leadership Scholarship

The B2L Leadership Scholarship awards high school seniors who are residents of Alabama. Applicants must have a parent employed full-time at an ABA member bank. Applicants should show financial need and leadership skills. They must have a minimum 2.75 GPA. The award amount is $2,000.

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Program

The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Alabama awards different scholarships to Alabama residents. Applicants must be descendants of veterans. They must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and show financial need. The award amount varies.

ACHE Police Officers and Firefighters Survivors Educational Assistance Program

The Alabama Commission on Higher Education awards this scholarship. Dependents and spouses of Alabama police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty may apply. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, books, and supplies. Applicants must pursue their undergraduate degree in Alabama.

AHB Foundation Scholarship

The AHB Foundation awards scholarships to residents of Alabama. They must attend an accredited junior college, technical school, or university in Alabama. They must study a residential construction-related degree.

Alabama Student Grant Program

The Alabama Student Grant Program awards undergraduate students who are residents of Alabama. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Alabama. They must study at an eligible Alabama college or university. The award amount is up to $1,200.

ARRL Charles Clarke Cordle Memorial Scholarship

The National Association for Amateur radio awards scholarships to amateur radio operators. Applicants must be residents of Alabama. They must have an active amateur radio license class. They also must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The award amount is $1,000.

AWS Airgas Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

The American Welding Society awards a scholarship to undergraduate students studying welding. Applicants must be students from Alabama, Georgia, or Florida with a financial need. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA with a 3.0 in engineering courses. Scholarships are renewable. The award amount is $2,500.

Ronnie Mendheim Memorial Scholarship

The Ronnie Mendheim Memorial Scholarship awards graduating seniors from Dothan County. Applicants must show academic merit and involvement in community service. They must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Earl P. Andrews Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Earl P. Andrews Jr. Memorial Scholarship awards graduating seniors of Montgomery County. Applicants must be a minority student with a minimum 3.5 GPA and financial need. The award amount ranges from $1,500-$2,000.

JSU Alabama Bush Memorial Scholarship

Jacksonville State University awards the Alabama Bush Memorial Scholarship to residents of Alabama. They must be full-time students at JSU in their junior or senior year. They must major in math.

JSU Alabama Hallman Scholarship

Jacksonville State University awards the Hallman Scholarship to graduates of Guntersville High School. Students must apply via the JSU scholarship application.

JSU Alabama Power Scholarship

Jacksonville State University awards the Alabama Power Scholarship to Alabama residents. Applicants must be students enrolled in the College of Commerce and Business Administration. They must be full-time students majoring in business.

Linly Heflin Scholarship

The Linly Heflin Scholarship awards women who are Alabama residents. Applicants must be undergraduate students at four-year Alabama colleges and universities. Scholarships are awarded for four years or until the recipient graduates. The award amount is $7,000 per year.

Southern Automotive Women’s Forum Scholarship

The Southern Automotive Women’s Forum Scholarship awards women studying STEM fields. Applicants may pursue a two-year technical degree, four-year undergraduate degree, or graduate degree. They must be interested in a career in the automotive industry. They must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a 3.0 in their major. The award amount ranges from $1,000-$5,000.

Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship Program

The Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship awards students from Alabama. Applicants must be in graduate school for nursing and have a Bachelor’s Degree and Nurse license. The award amount is $5,000.

Alabama Concrete Industries Association Scholarship

The Alabama Concrete Industries Association awards scholarships to Alabama residents. Applicants must be senior undergraduate students in Alabama with a minimum 3.5 GPA. They must major in architecture, building science, or civil engineering. The award amount is $8,000.

Alabama Funeral Directors Association Scholarship

The Alabama Funeral Directors Association awards scholarships to full-time college students. Applicants must be Alabama residents with an interest to work in the funeral industry. They must study at an accredited mortuary science school and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The award amount is $1,000.

Mary Alice Beatty Scholarship

The Mary Alice Beatty Scholarship awards Alabama residents who study aviation. Applicants must be women between the ages of 17-25 and have a minimum of 3.0. Preference goes to applicants’ training at AAB-accredited schools. They must show financial need. The award amount is $5,000.

Ansel C. Mullins Award

The Ansel C. Mullins Award grants environmentalists who are residents of Alabama. Recipients may use the scholarships to continue their education in environmental studies. They must be dedicated to meeting Alabama citizen’s needs. The award amount is $1,000. 

Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship

The Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship awards Alabama residents who are studying law. Applicants must be pursuing a J.D. at an ABA-accredited law school. They must have satisfactory LSAT scores and have completed the first year of law school. The award amount is $5,000.

Senior Adult Scholarship Program

The Senior Adult Scholarship Program awards Alabama’s seniors who are over the age of 60. They may attend a public Alabama two-year, post-secondary school free of charge.
