We are so excited for this month’s spotlight student, Omi Wolfe! She was the 1st place winner of the “Holiday Fun Scholarship” on the ScholarshipOwl platform! She received a $1000 scholarship for her awesome entry,  And what is even more amazing is that she had been a member of ScholarshipOwl for only 1 month when she found out she won! And she had submitted 7 applications during that time! We are always asked how long it takes to earn a scholarship on our platform, or how many applications it takes before you might expect to win. Have you received any other scholarships from other sources beyond ScholarshipOwl?

I have not received any scholarship from anywhere else yet. This Holiday Fun Scholarship was my first ever!

What features of the ScholarshipOwl platform do you find most helpful, and why?

I particularly find the applicant number as the most helpful because I can scope out the competition. It gives me confidence!

Compared to other methods of searching/applying for scholarships, what do you like best about the ScholarshipOwl platform?

ScholarshipOwl feels very safe and inviting. The website is easy to read and navigate through and makes it fun to look and apply for scholarships.

Applying for scholarships takes time, energy and persistence. How do you stay motivated to apply for scholarships?

I find motivation in fun and interactive scholarships. The “Holiday Fun Scholarship” caught my eye immediately because it was my kind of active scholarship!

We would love to hear about your scholarship strategies! When you are using the scholarship platform, how do you decide which scholarships to apply for?

Be passionate about the scholarship! If you are not passionate and if you do not enjoy it, I wouldn’t recommend applying for it. Scholarships are a relatively easy way to earn money, so why not enjoy a fun one while you’re at it?!

What tip(s) can you offer to students that might boost their chances of earning scholarships through the ScholarshipOwl platform?

  • Be passionate and confident!
  • Go for the scholarships that reflect who you are.

When you found out you had won a scholarship through our platform, how did it make you feel?

I WAS SUPER PUMPED!

If you could give one piece of advice to other students, what would it be?

Do something you love, only one life to do it.
