ScholarshipOwl wants more students like you to earn scholarships! ? You can help by creating and sharing a video ? about ScholarshipOwl on TikTok AND in the process, get entered into this amazing contest! In your video, all you need to do is show other students how awesome the ScholarshipOwl platform is and how you used it! Entries will be accepted from Sunday May 16, 2021 at 12am PST through Monday May 31, 2021 at 11:59pm.

How to Enter

  • Create your own original video about scholarships and ScholarshipOwl using your smartphone?:
    • Hold your phone vertically to capture the video.
    • The video length should be no more than 25 seconds.
  • Make sure your video is engaging, creative, and fun!
    • Be positive and enthusiastic, and show us your personality! ? TIP: If you do, we are more likely to select you as one of our contest winners.
    • Talk throughout most of your video.
    • Feel free to also use on-screen text to support what you are talking about.
    • Your video needs to be PG-friendly, so refrain from saying or showing anything that others might find offensive, and refrain from making political statements.
  • Ideas ? for what to talk about and show in your video:
    • If you are already a ScholarshipOwl member or are in your free trial, show/tell us your most favorite ScholarshipOwl feature and tell us why the feature is so helpful. (Examples to get you thinking: Recommended scholarships generated through AI and machine learning, credibility scores, our text editor, ability to see the number of applicants for each scholarship, ability to sort and filter your matches, automatic application for recurring scholarships, highly relevant scholarship matches, ability to track the status of all of your submitted applications, the fact that you can do the search, match and application process all in one place, etc. etc.)
    • If you aren’t yet a ScholarshipOwl member and/or haven’t yet started your free trial, show/tell us ONE WAY that your life might change if you WERE applying for scholarships through ScholarshipOwl. Use your imagination, and share how awesome your future could be! (Examples to get you thinking: How much time might you save applying for scholarships if you didn’t have to “google your way” to finding scholarships you are eligible for? How would you feel the moment you found out you earned a scholarship through ScholarshipOwl? How might earning a scholarship with ScholarshipOwl impact your ability to go to your first choice college? Or your ability to go to college at all? Imagine being able to pay for college without taking on the burden of student loans – how would that make you feel?)

  • Enter the contest HERE during the contest time period (May 16, 2021 – May 31, 2021) after you create your video.
  • PREFERRED: Share your video on TikTok and tag us @scholarshipowl and hashtag it #scholarshipowl #owltiktokcontest so we can find and share your posts. Make sure your account is set to public. If you are not a TikTok user, you can still enter the contest through the contest entry form HERE.
  • OPTIONAL: Consider creating a video that coincides with what’s trending on TikTok, such as the “tell me without telling me” trend. Examples: Tell us you’re applying for scholarships without telling us you’re applying for scholarships OR tell us you’re a student without telling us you’re a student.

How Will Winners Be Selected?

The ScholarshipOwl marketing team will review all entries. The team will select the videos that best meet the communications goals of the contest, while doing so in a way that is creative, original and engaging. Winners will be awarded one of the listed prizes, and will also be invited to participate in our Summer Scholars Ambassador Program this summer! This program will have additional opportunities for prizes, perks, and more! ?

Terms and Conditions

  • To be eligible to enter the contest, you must:
    • Currently reside in the United States. NOTE: International students or DACA students currently living within the United States are welcome to participate.
    • Be 16 years or older.
    • Be a current high school or college student OR you must be in the process of applying to colleges/universities.
  • This giveaway is limited to current residents of the United States ONLY. This giveaway isn’t open to those residing in any of the United States Territories. No shipments can be made to P.O. Box addresses, United States territories, or addresses outside of the United States.
  • The contest opens on May 16, 2021, at 12am PST, and closes on May 31, 2021, at 11:59 pm PST. Winners will be announced in mid-June, 2021.
  • Entrants must adhere to the entry guidelines listed in the “How to Enter” instructions above.
  • Entries that use or show foul language or depict anything others might find offensive will be disqualified from the competition.
  • By submitting an entry into the contest, you are consenting that ScholarshipOwl may use your video for promotional / marketing purposes.
  •  Prizes:

    • iPhone 12 (one prize – retail value: $829)
    • Amazon Gift Card (one prize – retail value: $150)

    • Winners will also be invited to participate in our Summer Scholars Ambassador Program this summer! This program will have additional opportunities for prizes, perks, and more.
  • All winners must respond to email notifications and claim their prize within 48 hours of winner acknowledgement. If the prize isn’t claimed within 48 hours, a new winner will be selected. The prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Participants may not be employees or affiliates of ScholarshipOwl or its affiliated organizations.
