But military personnel aren\u2019t the only ones to make sacrifices. Their families also must sacrifice a lot. For this reason, they too are eligible to receive scholarship money. In this post, we\u2019ll look at some specific scholarship that military spouses may apply to. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Military Spouse Scholarships<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Spouse Education Assistance Program<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The U.S Army awards this scholarship to the spouses of army soldiers. This includes spouses of soldiers on active duty, retired soldiers, or soldiers who died in service. Applicants must be pursuing their undergraduate degree and maintain a GPA of 2.0.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholarship is renewable for four years. There is no application deadline. Scholarships range from $500-$2,200.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gold Star Scholarship Program<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The U.S. Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society awards this scholarship. Spouses of Navy and Marine soldiers killed in duty may apply. Scholarships range from $500-$2500.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Coast Guard Foundation Lisa Cook Reed Spouse Education Scholarship Program<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of Coast Guard personnel are eligible to win a $2,000 scholarship. They award ten scholarships every year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"MilitaryAir Force Association Spouse Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of Air Force active duty, Air National Guard, or Air Force Reserve members may apply. Applicants must be pursuing an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree. They must submit an <\/span>essay on their career goals<\/span><\/a> and show how the Air Force will support these goals. They also must submit two <\/span>letters of recommendation<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mike and Gail Donley Spouse Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of Air Force active duty, Air National Guard service members, or Air Force civilian employees may apply. Applicants must be pursuing their associate’s, bachelor’s or post-graduate degree.<\/span><\/p>\n

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of active duty or retired sailors and marines may apply. Applicants must be studying towards their undergraduate degree, technical, or vocational school. Scholarships range from $500-$3,000 per year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Air Force Aid Society<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The Air Force Aid Society awards at least <\/span>10 Merit Scholarships<\/span><\/a> every year. Children and spouses of active duty and retired Airmen may apply. The scholarship is for $5,000. Applicants must show strong academic performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"MilitaryThanksUSA<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of active duty, reservist, and military personnel may apply. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor degree, non-degree license, or certificate program. Scholarship awards are up to $3,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pat Tillman Foundation<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

This scholarship awards spouses of active duty service members and veteran service members. Applicants must be pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree. Scholarships are around $10,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of a deceased service member or veteran may apply. Applicants must be pursuing an associate, bachelor, graduate, post-graduate or doctoral degree program. They can win a scholarship up to $50,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Folds of Honor<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of service members who lost a limb or died while on active duty may apply. Applicants must be studying in an undergraduate program, technical, or trade school. They may receive up to $5,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

NMCCG Enlisted Dependent Spouse Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The Navy Wives Club of America awards this scholarship. Spouses of Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard members may apply. Two scholarships are awarded. They may use the money towards a college degree or vocational school.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mike and Gail Donley Spouse Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Air Force spouses may apply for this scholarship. Applicants must be pursuing their associate, bachelor, graduate or postgraduate degree. There are two scholarships for $2,500.<\/span><\/p>\n

Living Legacy Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of fallen service members may apply. The scholarship award is up to $23,400. Recipients may use the money at Columbia Southern University or Waldorf University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants must show how the scholarship will help them improve their lives. They also must share their educational aspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Council of College and Military Educators Scholarship<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Spouses of active duty and veteran service members are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. Spouses must be currently enrolled in a degree program. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation and an essay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

This scholarship is for the children or spouses of an active duty, retired, reserve or deceased Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy. To be eligible, they must be pursuing an associate’s or bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"MilitaryThe Purple Heart Scholarship Fund<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

This scholarship fund awards veterans who have received the Purple Heart. Spouses of a member who received the Purple Heart posthumously may also get money. Award amounts vary. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.5 and submit a 1,200-1,500 essay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Post 9\/11 GI Bill<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Service members may transfer their remaining post 9\/11 GI Bill benefits to a spouse. To transfer, service members must have at least six years of military service. They also must agree to serve for four years after the benefits are transferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

Survivors\u2019 and Dependents\u2019 Educational Assistance (DEA)<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Military spouses of disabled Veterans or deceased veterans are eligible for this scholarship. They may receive up to 45 months of education benefits. They may use the money towards an undergraduate degree, certificate program, or on-the-job training.<\/span><\/p>\n
