So of course, we thought, let’s host ANOTHER contest, and this time, we specifically celebrate the importance of community-building?? We’ve all been working from home for so long that it’s easy to feel like each of us is alone. That’s why our online community is so amazing – you’re able to meet students just like you ?, who are talking about anything and everything related to college – scholarships, financial aid, FAFSA, grants, student loans, college admissions, college search, career exploration, student life, and more! And as you know, the pros at ScholarshipOwl are in the community all the time, sharing tips and strategies to help you on your college journey. In fact, our community is SO helpful and engaging that we KNOW you’ll want to invite a friend ????? to experience it with you!
And that brings us to our contest, where you AND a friend can win this month’s awesome prize package ?:

That’s right – you will receive a Google Next Hub Max display system for yourself to use in your dorm or apartment, and you’ll also receive one to give your family so you can stay connected while you are at school.

And of course, you and your friend will be able to stay connected with each other too!

How Winner Will Be Selected
The ScholarshipOwl marketing team will select the winners according the following criteria:
The fastest path to earning scholarships
Simplify and focus your application process with the one-stop platform for vetted scholarships.
✔️Student has met the minimum requirements for participation in the contest (student has posted an original tip in the #money-4-college channel, and student has invited a friend to join the community, and has tagged that newly-joined friend in their post.)
✔️The quality and helpfulness of the money-4-college tip that was posted.
✔️Whether or not the student has shared their tip to one or more of their social media channels using the hashtag #scholarshipowlcommunity.
When the winner is selected, ScholarshipOwl will award not only the winner, but ALSO their newly-joined friend who was tagged in their tip.
Terms and Conditions
To be eligible to enter the contest, you must:
Currently reside in the United States. NOTE: International students or DACA students currently living in the US are welcome to participate.
Be 14 years or older
Be a current high school or college student OR you must be in the process of applying to colleges/universities.
The contest opens on April 04, 2021 at 12am PST, and closes on April 20, 2021 at 11:59pm PST. The winner will be announced in late-April, 2021.

As a parent who recently helped her own kids embark on their college journeys, Jennifer approaches the transition from high school to college from a unique perspective. She truly enjoys engaging with students – helping them to build the confidence, knowledge, and insight needed to pursue their educational and career goals, while also empowering them with the strategies and skills needed to access scholarships and financial aid that can help limit college costs. She understands the importance of ensuring access to the edtech tools and resources that can make this process easier and more equitable - this drive to support underserved populations is what drew her to ScholarshipOwl.
Jennifer has coached students from around the world, as well as in-person with local students in her own community. Her areas of focus include career exploration, major selection, college search and selection, college application assistance, financial aid and scholarship consultation, essay review and feedback, and more. She works with students who are at the top of their class, as well as those who are struggling. She firmly believes that all students, regardless of their circumstances, can succeed if they stay focused and work hard in school.
Jennifer earned her MA in Counseling Psychology from National University, and her BA in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz.
